40 Days of Prayer: Day 3

Dear Christian Sisters,

Let’s continue to pray with Heidi. Let us remember that abortion affects the women and men who abort as well. I am testimony to that. Many women and men are testimony to that.

Lord God Almighty,

The shock is starting to wear off and lots of emotions are flooding in to take its place. Anger, depression, resolve, outrage. There is NEVER a medical reason for an abortion in the third trimester. You have blessed us with incredible medical care and babies can survive outside the womb at that point. It is murder purely for convenience, willful, premeditated, first degree murder. What has happened to our hearts that we as a nation think this is ok?

Lord, so many of us do NOT think this is ok, but we feel helpless and lack the power, know how, or the connections to do anything about it. And so here we are, banging on the doors of heaven, beseeching your mercy, looking for direction, begging for big changes. And many of us are crying out, “Here we are, Lord, SEND US!” We need a plan and the resources to work it. Our trust is completely in You and we wait for your direction.

May your glory fill the earth, and may we be agents of your glory. Save the babies—and their moms and dads–Lord Jesus and bring an end to the era of (legalized) abortion in the United States.

In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen

In Christ,

Cheryl

Author: Cheryl Krichbaum

Cheryl Krichbaum, author of ReTested, has a burning passion to change the conversation about abortion so that abortion-minded women and men know the vitality draining consequences of abortion on themselves. In response to the #shoutyourabortion movement, the Faces of Abortion Series of books boldly speaks the truth about the death that abortion causes to not just babies but also to women’s souls. Cheryl invests her time writing, speaking, and designing Bible studies to help Christians know what both the Old and New Testaments say about the sanctity of life and the sanctity of sex, how to pray for the end of abortion in The Church and in our communities, and how to talk to the abortion-minded.
