Racism & Abortion

Dear Christian Sisters and Brothers,

I’m from Minnesota, and my license plate frame says, “My ❤️ belongs to Minneapolis.”

I am heartbroken over George Floyd’s death and the destruction of property, especially small businesses, in Minneapolis and around the country.

Racism is evil. We must end racism. There’s no excuse for Mr. Floyd’s murder nor Ahmaud Arbery’s or so many more.

Some say that we should be just as angry, if not more, about the millions of black lives murdered by way of abortion. Yes, we should, but we need to meet people where they are.

We are not going to convince African Americans that black pre-born babies matter if we can’t even value their lives.

We blame Margaret Sanger, but we don’t hold each other accountable for judging others based on their skin color. We must check our own hearts.

If you’re a banker, give business loans regardless of color. If you are a school counselor, encourage people to apply for the best colleges because they are capable. If you live in a predominantly white neighborhood, treat your neighbors the way you want to be treated.

If we want the violence to end—both rioting and abortion—then we have to be humbly righteous (which admittedly is redundant).

We must first become righteous through confession and forgiveness, THEN ask God to send the Holy Spirit powerfully to earth so that revival brings others to righteousness.

Righteousness in us makes Christ attractive to others, bringing them to righteousness. With righteousness, rioting ends, racism ends, abortion ends.

We must seek revival with clean hearts.

If you agree, comment with an emoticon and share.

In Christ,

Cheryl
