So I Saw the Movie “Unplanned”

Dear Christian Sisters and Brothers,

If you haven’t seen the movie “Unplanned,” do it. It’s well made. It’s real. It’s going to change you and the people you invite to go with you. (Find a theater.)

I took my family to see “Unplanned” last night. I read Abby Johnson‘s book. I had to see the movie.

Afterward, my 15 year old asked me in the kindest way he knew how: “Mom, how can you live with yourself knowing what you did?” I said:

“Only through the love of Christ.”

unplannedBut, last night in the theater was the first that I saw what I did. I made myself watch it. I needed to see it so that I wouldn’t forget what I did to my daughter.

During that scene and thinking about my Joy being sucked away, or “beamed up” as the doctor flippantly said, God whispered in my ear “Forgiven” and reminded me that I will see my daughter when I return to heaven.

Will all post-abortive women see their children some day? Only if they choose Christ.

You can help them. Please speak the truth in love so that women are attracted to Christ when they hear you talk about abortion, and remember to tell everyone that post-abortion healing is available. (I did Surrendering the Secret.)

You never know who is listening or reading your social media post.

In Christ,

Cheryl

Movie Rated R for Abortion Scenes

Dear Christian Sisters,

The movie “Unplanned” is rated R for scenes of abortion. How ironic is that?

While the filmmakers were certain they were making a PG-13 film, the MPAA has informed them that it will, in fact, be rated R unless all scenes of abortions are removed or altered.

Check out the story by The Hollywood Reporter.

My opinion? If your children are receiving sex education, then they should see “Unplanned.” I will be taking my pre-teen and teen boys.

Be sure to check out the movie trailer, and put March 29 on your calendar as movie night.

In Christ,

Cheryl
